Dammit, DWMagus, now I can't unsee it! :?
Tis the circles my boy, nipples, the navel, and genitals form the same pattern as a face with eyes, nose and mouth. There are numerous such patterns which repeat with different exaggerations throughout the human body. Humans are procedural math rendered in organic chemistry. :D

Code can be cloned from here, play around and see what you can make. Documentation coming later today, but pppffff who really needs comments in their code right?

(Code is really messy and just a proof of concept, but to try it out just download it and run the icon.py file. Default batch size is 8, that all can be changed in the code. Also, right now the output directory is hard-coded... :problem: nice job, me.)

EDIT: This is for 3.3, probably works in 2.x but I don't know. You'll need Pillow or to port it to PIL. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/Pillow to get Pillow.

you guys need to give this a try. Requires zero skill and churns out gorgeous pareidolic faces (and breasts, if you're so inclined :mrgreen: )

When I look at this I can only imagine the foundation for some really cool semi-organic looking alien ship designs. Perhaps this could be fed into the procedural ship generator in some way?

Definitely looks like a compelling enemy to fight.

@Silk stuff: I love it, :clap:

@Homestuck/frogs discussion:

A thought about Homestuck: Though I wouldn't say they are pareidolic, homestuck has tons of icons that represent the characters. When you see: Image you eventually start instantly associating it with Tavros' personality and actions. Just an interesting thought, especially since Josh's last devlog included making things that look a lot like them procedurally. I still think faces would be better for individuals, but for factions, rather than actors, shapes more inspired by the abstract-ish shapes of the zodiac symbols could work better.

(For those who haven't read, a lot of characters have symbols on their shirt and as their IM avatar, these symbols come to be equivalent with the person, etc.)
