As would I. I can understand Josh's desire to meet the deadline, purely as a self-motivational technique - but in my experience, code written without sleep is code that will have to be rewritten, after later incredulous review.

Are you asking what there is to be excited about? Lol, let me outline it for you.
  • 512+ ships in a single system
  • DOGFIGHTING - with the aforementioned 512+ ships all at once, presumably
  • An improved research system
  • Prototype/blueprint mechanics
  • Reverse engineering
  • Technological theft
  • better UI for hardpoints, and all UI in general
  • More metaproject stuff - and faction personality stuff with it
  • Awesome information and data mechanics - be your own Shadow Broker
  • Nebulae look 50% cooler
  • Fleet and formation AI
  • New property system
  • New mission system (very groundbreaking and pioneering)
Best of all, that's just what I can remember. I'm probably missing a lot.

i knew there was a reason i was anxiously waiting for the update, but holy cow! thats quite a list... this vid is going to be amazing.
i think i might die of anticipation if this list gets more robust!
