Re: The "I'm gonna be away..." thread

The move is successful! I am here safe and sound. We had a bit of excitement along the way with surprise expenses and problems using debit cards and cash to get rental cars, and ended up renting a U-Haul of all things to make the drive (despite the fact that my boxes filled a pitifully small percen...

Re: Where to be notified about code release, and any fan-based projects to bring LT-like games to life using code?

If you're referring to the forums, then yeah. Why? Because the forums here were not created to be about how bad he is or LT is. Much like the walmart.com site doesn't tolerate people who just go on to complain about walmart. That's why the people created walmartsucks.com. it's also why when I was a...

Re: Skyrim

I want to play this game again Myself as well.. but I keep thinking, maybe just wait until they release the next one..? The last time I played, with my hundreds of mods, though it looked way nicer than the original and had better menus and had all the annoying stuff fixed, it was still the same game.

Re: Where to be notified about code release, and any fan-based projects to bring LT-like games to life using code?

In essence technical feature creep was what killed LT. Modding was not supposed to be in LT, and in the end, this is what I think prevented the game from releasing. I'm not a programmer though so I could be wrong there. I just think that if Josh had worked on getting gameplay worked out, just as he...

Re: Where to be notified about code release, and any fan-based projects to bring LT-like games to life using code?

Another variant could have been to call the FULL TIME development quits .. understandable after such a long delay without money flowing back in. Not (promise) to release the code. Get a new job and keep the project on the backburner. I was thinking this, but at the full time rate Josh would have be...

Re: Where to be notified about code release, and any fan-based projects to bring LT-like games to life using code?

I don't mean to be the jerk in the room, but gentlemen, lets all be realistic here. If the last 7 years has been any sort of lesson to anyone, don't get your hopes up. I was actually surprised Josh was so quick to announce the end of the project. I was not surprised in the least when he made it, I s...

Re: Josh's Next Project

I personally think his next project should be to finish his degree in university, or perhaps to get a « formal » position in a software engineering company. I think this would help him getting structure and project management skills; today, I personally have not yet the impression that he can lead ...

Re: The End

Limit Theory, its promise, its design, and Josh "wonderboy" Parnell very literally saved my life. Though not a backer, I came across it at a dark time in my life and the Daily updates in 2014 were quite literally the only reason I didn't commit suicide, the promise and the dream was just too great....

Oh well. My opinion on the current state of the game hasn't changed in the least bit, but it you're willing to part with some cold hard cash, I'm willing to hand my pledge over to someone slightly more optimistic than myself.
Wonder who ended buying Hardenberg's Florida's swamp land?

Re: The End

Well, I come back to check on the forum and see this. Honestly sorry to hear. Can't say I am surprised. The writing has been on the wall that this was the going to be the end result for quite some time. It sort of felt like that old pet that everyone knew should have been put down years ago but no o...
