Bosses No, But it would be feasible for factions to create massive ships or strong bases. Random things just cannot be spawned, It does no fit into the nature of the game. I like the idea, but i think it should be like archaeology, like hints at alien races or something and you can sell the artifacts, and they would only have a chance to spawn in "new new" systems (as in systems you have found that humans have never been to).

What I think would be a great way to travel is take the warp from EvE but make it so you can drop out of warp at any point along the way, or even set warp to any location in the system. Unlike eve where you can only go to current locations known/scanned. Also I don't know if an answer has been given...
