Re: New thruster technology confirmed by NASA

Holy cow that's awesome. If true this means that future spaceships can easily run on electricity alone of which there is plenty available in space and can be generated inside the ship as well and this would greatly cut the costs for space flight. I just hope they can make a model that gene...

GCC is apparently a steaming pile of crap

Shock! (And this issue has been around really since 4.5.0, it was first tried to fix it for 4.9 but obviously that failed, not fixed in 4.9.1 either) This is quite a bit of a shocker for me since I always preferred GCC over Clang. Especially because of Clang's affiliation with Apple  But I gu...

Re: Music!

Well, I'm sorry I haven't been around here :P but I've chanced upon a chunk of good music recently. Kaleo is one of these bands, that's my favorite by them. They are an icelandic band and they also cover some folk classics . 3Typen sure can do it if they try. That is one of the most awesome games I'...

Re: Keyboards!

Oh yeah if anyones interested in making a G510 I mentioned earlier work (or well... work properly ) in Linux, I uploaded my patches to the g15daemon/libg15 to here . I also thought someone would find interesting that you actually can get full n-key rollover with USB 2.0. This keyboard does it .

I mean you thought apples and cherries were innocent? They contain cyanide. Oh and uhm, almonds are chock full of cya...

Re: Revolutionary

I actually want to s4ee this interface in a file manager as well. It looks good, icons that aren't thumbnails (for videos or images) could easily be simplified into shapes and colors (so for example dot is an archive,e and then blue dot is zip, green dot is rar, purple dot is 7z, red dot is tar, etc...

Re: Linux Tutorials

What Katawa said, if you're a OS X fan I would generally recommend Ubuntu, if you're more of a Windows fan I recommend Linux Mint or alternatively Kubuntu. I do recommend using virtual machines for "testing the water" you could say (try out the various different distros and pick the one you think yo...

Re: Keyboards!

I do some coding, and other work as well, and I really like keyboards that have macro keys, I personally use the G510. http://www.gamingnexus.com/Images/Article/dezngf2743/2.jpg Problem with this is that the old unofficial g15 linux drivers never supported this board, so I gave myself a solid week t...
